Presentation of Serbia’s Tourism Potential and Serbian Cultural and Religious Heritage

On 3 September, the Embassy hosted a presentation of Serbia’s tourism potential and its cultural and religious heritage.

The presentation featured contributions from Ambassador Janković, H.E. Ilija, Archbishop of the Orthodox Church of Finland, Smiljana Novičić, representing the National Tourism Organisation of Serbia (TOS), Archpriest-Stavrophor Aleksandar Samardžić of the Serbian Orthodox Church’s Diocese of Scandinavia, former Finnish Ambassador to Belgrade Pekka Orpana, as well as Jenni Kemppainen of the Finnish Association of Travel Agents (SMAL), and Mariya Radchenko and Jan Nyholm of Air Baltic.

Following the presentation, a reception was held featuring a selection of Serbian wines and rakija, as well as traditional Serbian cuisine. Renowned Finnish sommelier Timo Jokinen spoke about Serbian wines, their quality and distinctive characteristics, as well as the importance of events such as the wine fair Wine Vision by Open Balkan.
