Political consultations between Serbia and Estonia

Political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia were held in Tallinn on 10 March 2026.

The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia was led by Acting Assistant Minister for Bilateral Cooperation, Ambassador Tamara Rastovac Siamashvili, with the participation of Acting Assistant Minister for Multilateral Cooperation Katarina Lalić Smajević, Acting Assistant Minister for the EU Miloš Todorović, Head of the Europe Department Milena Mitić, and Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Finland Aleksandar Janković.

The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia was led by Ambassador Siiri Königsberg, Director General for European Affairs, with the participation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Serbia Raul Toomas.

It was jointly assessed that bilateral relations between the two countries are good, and the potential for further intensification of political dialogue and enhancement of cooperation in areas of mutual interest was highlighted. Particular emphasis was placed on cooperation in the fields of economy, e-government, digitalization, and cybersecurity.

The interlocutors emphasized the importance of regularly holding political consultations as an important mechanism for strengthening the overall relations between Serbia and Estonia. Discussions also covered the European integration process of the Republic of Serbia, the reform process, and the Belgrade–Pristina dialogue conducted under the auspices of the European Union.

The delegations also exchanged views on the current situation in Ukraine and broader international and security challenges. Regional cooperation in the Western Balkans and issues of multilateral cooperation were also discussed, including cooperation within international organizations, with particular reference to the work of the Council of Europe.

The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia also held a separate meeting with the Undersecretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Martin Roger.
