Acting Assistant Minister for Security Policy in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Branimir Filipović, participated in the 13th annual NATO conference on the control of weapons of mass destruction, disarmament and non-proliferation, which took place in Helsinki in the period from 28th to 30th of May.
During the conference, representatives of NATO member states and partner countries, exchanged views and presented their experiences in the field of one of the biggest security threats to the current moment.
Ambassador Branimir Filipovic, one of the speakers, participated in the panel "The contribution of NATO and other international organizations controlling weapons of mass destruction, disarmament and non-proliferation", during which he presented the involvement of the Republic of Serbia in the mentioned areas, stressing the importance of regional cooperation in order to preserve peace and security in the Western Balkans, as well as dealing with contemporary security challenges.
