Puppet Theatre “Pinokio” from Belgrade performed its play Max Metallic on 31 August at Espan lava stage in the center of Helsinki. The story about life and love of this puppet tall 5,20 meters, who was created in Finland 17 years ago and who became, from 2000 onward, a hero of Belgrade’s Puppet Theatre, was supported by UMO jazz orchestra from Helsinki. The performance took place at the First International Festival of Puppet Theatres in Helsinki – SAMPO 2017.  

On 30 August, Belgrade’s actors were walking with Max via Esplanadi Park, where the metal puppet hero was welcomed by Ambassador of Serbia. On that occasion, the children of Helsinki got a message from the children of Belgrade. The message contains verses of poet Ljubivoje Rsumovic: “Cveće je ukras bašte, leptir je ukras cveta, a deca puna mašte, deca su ukras sveta“ (Flowers are decoration of a garden,/ Butterfly is decoration of a flower,/ While children full of imagination,/ Those children are decoration of the world.)
